another pic from my picasa web album

From fixed pic

The Picasa web album also provides the html code for posting to blogs.

imageshack has me confused

I have posted about imageshack service before. The interface offered for the mac didn't work that well for me. However, one feature that is related to the Firefox browser (and maybe others like IE) is the option to capture pictures found on the web. I find this feature very useful for blogging.

Let's say you search for clown images with google. I found this one I liked:

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

With this imageshack firefox extension you can quickly copy a picture and then post it to your blog. Before I started using this, I would download the picture and then upload the picture into the blog. Imageshack provides the html code to embed the picture into your blog. It is quick and after you learn the copy/paste steps, very easy.

What has confused me, is a recent picture that shows up in the blog OK, but does not appear in "my images" on the imageshack site. I don't know why the picture would not show like the others.

snow in NC

Another slide show made on slide.com.

These are easy to make and they offer a good choice of special effects for the picture. No music yet - at least I didn't find it yet.

One thing I noticed about slide.com that surprises me is the steps in building a slideshow does NOT differ much if you host the pictures on their site or not. I expected hosting the pictures on slide.com (it is offered) would make the creation of slides easier. It doesn't make much difference. So for me the easier route is to host the pics on picasa and then use slide to make the slideshow.

More snow in NC than IL that day.
