A little help for Doreen
From what I’ve read about Doreen’s life, I suspect Doreen has a Rubber Soul. What else explains bouncing back and writing about the tragedies in her life.
A short while ago, she asked the blog community for a guest post. I offer the following to help her out.
Did you read about RollingStone Magazine’s top ten Beatles songs of all time?
According to RollingStone the top 3 are:
1. A Day in the Life
2. I Want to Hold Your Hand
3. Strawberry Fields Forever
Beatles fans could just say Let It Be, but Something tells me not to be so Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da about their list. Their number 1 song is just wrong. It’s a good song but I think all their songs except Revolution 9 were good.
I agree with the remaining seven on their list but missing from the top ten is Get Back and Revolution.
Do You Want to Know a Secret?
You do know, Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey.
Well I don’t have a secret but I suspect RollingStone picked that somewhat odd song Because they want to start a little controversy for PR reasons.
Hey Jude, Hey Bulldog, don’t you think some Norwegian Wood should be thrown on this list?
I’m no Paperback Writer and you aren’t Polythene Pam either. But this doesn’t mean we have to go along with Mean Mr. Mustard editor and act like a Nowhere Man with no point of view.
If I Needed Someone, When I'm Sixty-Four, I hope they are smarter than The Fool On The Hill editor of this list.
So just go on thinking like Yesterday, While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Come Together and We Can Work It Out. I’ll be here waiting for your comment.
Last fall (2010), Apple Itunes started offering the complete library of the Beatles songs. I just took a look at the top three sellers from their library.
1. Here Comes the Sun
2. Let It Be
3. Hey Jude
Oh by the way, you can Drive My Car.
Hello, Goodbye!
